Get the most out of your Event Videographer!

One of the things I’ve found over my years working in events as a videographer is that clients often have a very narrow vision of what they can get out of a shoot. Most companies only ask for one, two, or at most three videos from their shoots, when really they could be setting their sights much higher.
In this fast-paced world of social media, content is king, but consistency is queen. To maintain consistency, you need a high volume of content. And if you already have someone on-site who can produce quality material, you should harness that. You’re already paying for it, after all.
Here are three ideas to get the most out of your event coverage:
1. Get your video converted to multiple formats and aspect ratios.
That’s why we shoot in the above industry standard of 6K open gate. It gives you, the client, more flexibility for your edits.
2. Ask for the shoot to be clipped.
For as little as £10 per video, you can ask for your footage to be portioned and colour-graded, ready to post as social media content.
3. Get your interviews edited into individual testimonials.
More and more, we’re bringing someone on-site specifically to capture interviews for the highlight reel. What people often don’t realise is they’re sitting on an absolute goldmine of content. Get those interviews, post them in full or have them clipped. As we know, it doesn’t cost the world.
These are just a few ways you can get the most out of your event videographer, adding a lot of value for a very small additional investment.
